NO REFILLS is a recut and abridged version of The Anachronist in London, for people that don't have time for a triple album, but just enough time for an indie record. Most of the songs were improvised whilst extremely intoxicated. The only electric guitar is on the first track. Everything else is heavily produced acoustic music using only the built in microphone on a mac laptop. I tried to make it sound like its on 2 inch tape. I hops you enjoy. Play it loud and partake in sacred alchemical rituals. Love, light and truth to all of you.

This POST-DIY piece represents 2 years of work over a 4 year period... Most of the recordings were improvised... They represent the most important works of the last two years that I lived in London when, having been away from my drummer James Southworth for a year (still recording Sacred Sorcery of Sound as The Porcupine Magician), I started to try and fill his place with percussive guitar playing, and in fits of anger trying to get that kevin shields fender jazzmaster sound, excessive warping of the necks of cheap acoustic guitars... Only Acoustic Guitar, Vocals and Harmonica (as well as percussion by people in the room during recording) feature on this album.

It is a triple Long Play Album, meant to be pressed on limited edition heavy vinyl... For the time being I am making available to you all arelease of this album Side by Side...

Expect psychedelic pop / acoustic shoegazing / improvised folk ....The last song, a full 20 minutes or so was recorded live as one mono guitar track... There is only stereo delay and an envelope filter to create the strange illusion of what I call my HYPOTHETICAL CLOUD ORCHESTRA, which shall perform for you in real time out of your listening playback device!

ABOUT "The Rain Came Down":

I wrote this song for the one that got away when she sat on my bed drinking cheap champagne and crying over the futility of our affair. It is so comforting to have a good speaking terms relationship with her now. 9/10 of the songs on this recut are about her, except for The Junky which is about my good friend's sister's abusive boyfriend we kicked out earlier the same day I recorded The Reflections Suite. This whole album is for her, in Germany, with my record collection, reading this. "It aged on the shelf like a fine bottle of hydromorphone." old love never dies... especially if its already dead. Time travel 101.... cause we all make it in our ends?
